I'M doing a another blog at 33,000 feet due to boredom but this time I have over eight hours of flying time left. It's a 10-hour flight to Heathrow, then a couple of hours before I fly to Newcastle.

I've got an aisle seat so I'm happy with that, and sitting next to a girl I think is American. She's slept all the way so I can't complain.

t's 5.50am on Saturday morning in England but 9.50pm Friday night in LA. That's the timezone I'm on so I'm pretty fresh, but expecting a few days' jetlag.

Tommy's in for a video nasty!

By Tony Jeffries on Dec 1, 10 01:59 PM

THE opponent for my next fight has been announced, and I was really pleased to hear Tommy Tolan talking about facing me.

I'm taking him on his home city - Belfast - on December 15.

Tolan reckons he's going to get me in the later rounds. He said that because he's watched my last fight and I'm glad he's done that because that wasn't me at all. Out of the 103 fights I've had as a professional and an amateur that was the worst one, so if he's going off that, that's fantastic.

ANYONE who knows me, reads this blog or has seen me fight will know how proud I am to be from Sunderland.

I was born there, grew up there, live there and try to promote it whenever I can. So I'm really proud I've helped to bring world title boxing back to the city for only the second time ever.

THE big debate after my fight with Matt Hainey was what weight I should fight at next and me and my promoter Frank Maloney don't agree on what I should do next.

I trust Frank because he's got so much experience in the game but personally I think I'm a super-middleweight. Frank says I need to box at light-heavyweight all the time but we'll wait and see.

Against Nathan King in April I came in at exactly 12 stone. I wasn't as disciplined in my diet for the Hainey last fight and I came in at 12 stone 5lbs. By the time I got to the ring I was probably about 13 stone.

Taking it easy with Jay-Z

By Tony Jeffries on Jun 8, 10 04:28 PM

AFTER beating Matt Hainey in Peterlee on Friday night I'm taking ten days off and I'm really looking forward to it.

The highlight's definitely going to be when I go Manchester to watch Jay-Z, one of the greatest music artists of all time. Then I'm going to Marbella on Thursday with some of my close friends.
