The Appliance of Scienceââ¬ÃÅ .. to the Toon
I have to add my pennies worth to the aftermath of Monday nights debacle at Derby by the lads. Although the press have been fairly gentle with them, reflecting the tentative nature of their developing relationship with â∠Âbigââ¬? Sam, the fans have been far less forgiving, and quite rightly in my opinion.
The team selection was bizarre with Martins left on the bench, Smith and Shola preferred. No sign of our new left back anywhere. The old adage, play your best players, never seemed more appropriate as we witnessed a disjointed and spineless performance.
â∠ÂBigââ¬? Sam has invested hugely in his much vaunted massive back room team of â∠Âscientistsââ¬? and â∠Âexpertsââ¬? who were apparently going to solve all of the problems that the club were supposed to have with fitness. So four months down the line, fitness should be at an all time peak.
So what was the considered verdict of our manager as to the reason for such a poor display? The poor lads were tired. So what have all the coaches and specialist been doing? And this after two days extra break! Sorry Sam, youâ≢re having a laugh.
