D-Day For Tour Looming
The final date for the decision on who gets the 96 places on the new professional tour is made on or around the 17th December.
The tour are no longer taking anymore applications so players now have to sit tight and wait.
Considering I have never been a player that has gone to every single event in the past due to personal circumstances, it is 50-50 whether I will be given a place this year. Hopefully I will get a place, if not then it will be a little travelling and playing in local tournaments for me. I will be forced to qualify for the main tour if I do not get in this time.
My practise (limited to once a week at the moment) went well last week, and some of the old flow and comfort was back. When I play I sometimes knock everything in yet still feel uncomfortable. This tends to mean mistakes creep in as I do not have control over the white ball.
When I won the Doncaster Pool League a few years ago I was comfortable the whole season and played to a high level. Hopefully I can find that form again and get back to competing against the best players.
