Confident Mr Brown must beware showing too much enjoyment
THE global financial crisis may not be doing us much good, but it has worked wonders for Gordon Brown.
From a man who was down and out, the Prime Minister has a positive spring in his step after unveiling his plans to part-nationalise the banking industry with the rest of the world following his lead.
Confident and assured, Mr Brown last week swiped aside David Cameron at Prime Minister's Questions as the Tories supported the Government's actions but were left little room for attack.
But despite the Prime Minister's improved performance, he should be careful not to look like he is "enjoying" himself in a crisis. It is a difficult move to pull off because there is a buzz in a crisis and satisfaction in leading the world on how to deal with turmoil.
Doubtless, the Prime Minister is not "enjoying" himself and he knows there are still tough tests ahead - not least a difficult Scottish by-election in just a few weeks time.
