Oh dear...
Paul Loraine:
There's nothing like getting stung by the freakish strength of one of our former players and a 5-0 spanking to take the shine off a derby win.
Well, at least Arsenal fell to the Delap party-piece as well and I suspect he may claim a few more teams.
I reckon a few more Premiership managers might follow suit, put the emphasis on throw-ins and play body-builders at full-back. Football is changing.
The flat trajectory is really difficult to deal with and I can't stand it when pundits go on about bad defending whenever a goal comes of it.
It's the same for corners and free-kicks. Managers continually say 'I'm disappointed to have conceded from a set-piece' but a huge proportion of goals come that way, not always as the result of bad defending. If the delivery's right, defenders always have a tough time.
Talking of having a tough time, nice to see the Mags propping up the table. Thought it best to get that dig in now in case Ameobi slices one in against Villa tomorrow and they move above us temporarily.
Roll on Pompey.
