Finish them

By Pauls Apart on Jan 30, 09 11:20 AM

PAUL LORAINE:

It's just too good to be true.

Charles Insomnia. Owen and that cheeky little scamp Barton injured. Given on his way.

And now the icing on the cake: Paul McShane is out of the derby with a hamstring problem. Hallelujah.

We should never be smug before a derby game - they're always unpredictable, blah, blah, blah.

But we should be seeing this game as a chance to turn a potentially disastrous season into a pretty decent one.

Quite apart from the unbelievable satisfaction beating the jokers twice in a season would give us, a win on Sunday will see us looking up the league rather than down.

We should be so up for the game on Sunday and I hope we don't go there and give them too much respect.

Now's the time to go for their throats and show a bit of killer instinct. Let's not miss this opportunity.

It's the moment in the film when the bad guy is hanging on by his fingertips off the edge of the building and you're willing the hero to finish him off. Kill, kill, kill.

Sunday could be glorious.

I'm actually salivating at the prospect . What a disgusting man I am.
