Steven Taylor: the model Geordie hero
PAUL LORAINE:
"There were turning points in the game and I don't think - again - the big decisions have gone our way, but that's the way it is going for us at the moment."
No, not the words of Ricky nor any Sunderland player or fan, these are the words of Joe Kinnear. Never has a man so eloquently expressed his own derangement.
Joe Kinnear genuinely believes his team were hard done by yesterday.
He probably also believes Steven Taylor is a nice Geordie fella representing the fans and not the smug cheat he consistently proves himself to be.
It really is hard to take the way we lost our lead yesterday. Predictably, we retreated in the second half but while Newcastle had a lot of territory, we defended well and I didn't see them scoring.
Cue Mr Fake Tan falling over.
Still, we're in a stronger position than Newcastle and I think Ben-Haim is a decent signing.
A win against Stoke next week and then we can start to think about kicking on.
Before then, with the injustice of it all still burning, just take a look at Joe Kinnear's cavernous head and Taylor's sickening half-smile and thank the lord that these lovely men have nothing to do with our club.
