It only takes baby steps

I had been meaning to buy a SIGG bottle for ages.

Plastic bottles whether for long or short term are made of oil and recent press stories about the nasties to be found leeching out of plastic bottles - even reusable ones- made me think it was time to invest in a good old fashioned SIGG.

Ethicalsuperstore.com have a great range, but I happened to be in Fenwick browsing the Aveda counter when I spied this joint Aveda/SIGG bottle to celebrate Earth Month 2009.

I bought one on the spot and was informed that SIGG have been handing these out to models during London Fashion week, so I'm in good company by drinking fresh and local Northumbrian water out of mine.

April is Earth Month and this year Aveda and SIGG will be aiming to raise money for clean water projects and to raise awareness about the daily struggle of over one billion people around the world that do not have access to clean water.

The bottle is £12.99 and you will make that back after just two weeks by not buying plastic bottles of water in the shops.
