Viva la revolución
As I speak, London has been reduced to ashes. Well, actually seven policemen are currently looking very bored.
The first protest march to coincide with the G20 summit of world leaders in London has just passed by.
And there was plenty of noise and colour with a wide spectrum of political opinion represented.
There were anarchists, communists, fair trade, youth for jobs, charities and unions.
And it is wonderful thing that Britain can hold these events. But as ever, there are lovely ironies.
The first was queueing for the toilets patiently and paying for 50p for the pleasure. Hardly smashing the state is it? And then there were the anarchists with North Face jackets.
The best though was seeing protesters having a lovely cup of tea and cake in Costa Coffee.
More seriously, it may not be so peaceful next week when demonstrations are planned in the City of London.
Thanks to my pal James for contributing to this blog.
