Hung Up
"It's arrived!" exclaimed Chris, beaming as he opened the door to greet me from work.
"Great," I said, none too enthused by the gadget that will see me sidelined for at least a few months.

"Look," said Chris, holding his prized new possession in my face and speaking in the hallowed tones usually reserved for a new born baby, "it's a white one...."
Considering his brand new iPhone was switched off at the time I wasn't entirely sure what I was supposed to be looking at.
"I've never been so happy," he added, before patting it tenderly and leaving it to charge for 15 hours, as specifically stated in the instruction manual.
So. Despite a number of major life accomplishments - including two graduations, our wedding and buying our first home together - it's the delivery of a new mobile phone that has finally brought my husband a sense of fulfilment. Simple minds...
