Spot of mortgage bother for top Tory
Which senior Tory claimed too much for his mortgage even AFTER the expenses crisis broke - and got a telling off from the Commons authorities?
The rules were changed in May, with a cap of £1,250 a month for mortgage interest claims.
But would-be Chancellor George Osborne put in a claim of £1,400 last month, only to be rebuked by the Commons fees office. That's a bit embarassing...
