Which raises the wonderful, albeit unlikely, prospect that the man who lost his job to new Tory mayor Linda Arkley could one day find he has to work with her as an MP.

Fantasy politics....not a chance that Harrison will get a seat. And unless Stephen Byers fancies making way for him, then Linda Arkley would not have to work with Harrison as an MP anyway.
