I swear, if I jump around I will rattle

By Leanne Chambers on Dec 31, 09 04:12 PM

September 1st
I took my steroids this morning and my brain is not able to function on any one thing at a time! My complimentary therapy does not work as well again today so it is definitely the steroids. Out with the girls tonight and had a great time and decide this is what I need before each chemo to cheer me up!

2nd September
I did not sleep at all last night and as well as being tired I am in a really really bad mood, Barry is tired and in a bad mood and we moan at each other all the way through the chemo. The nurse put the need in my elbow which did not hurt much but I still complained! I am freezing cold when we leave and can't wait to get home. We give my friend a lift home and I feel bad as we are not talking much in the car. I have some soup for tea and go straight to bed without taking to Barry.

3rd September
Feeling tired but generally okay so go to work. Steroids are keeping the pains away which is great.

4th September
Felt okay this morning but now am not so sure, pains around my ankles and my feet feel like they have blisters underneath them. I manage to stay at work the whole day but I am going to have early night.

5th September
Feeling very tired and have painful ankles and feet but manage to go and do a bit of shopping at supermarket.

6th September
Woke up with pain up to my knees and I can hardly walk. I am sick of being poorly and am in a bad mood. I am noticing that the longer the treatment goes on the more my moods deteriorate; I am just not cut out to be a patient or be ill. I am not sure anyone would want to read this blog as it seems all I do is moan.

7th September
Pain quite bad in knees and did not sleep much so not at work today. Tummy starting to feel upset again also so will get more boxes of pills out of the cupboard in readiness to take - I swear if I jump around I will rattle!

You're being honest and brave, and you have a right to moan. If people don't want to know the truth that's their problem. Keep your chin up chuck.

This is a good, common sense article.Very helpful to one who is just finding the resouces about this part.It will certainly help educate me.
