To review or not to review?
Did Ken Clarke slip up? Some papers reported the Conservatives are looking again at RDAs and may not scrap them after all.
Not true it would seem. Sort of.
It appears Ken meant there is room for regions to argue against scrapping their RDA, but that there is no change to the general plan to replace them with local enterprise partnerships and there is certainly no active review of policy going on.
Maybe Ken wants there to be? Best that you start now, I would have thought. We'll be revisiting these issues next week as The Journal's Case for the North East looks at just what each party has to offer.
