Knit Wit
I've been officially inducted into the world of knitting!

ABOVE: Russell Crowe with his needles (see, it is cool...)
I was chuffed to bits to have a letter delivered to the paper this morning from a Mrs Anne Burns. She welcomed me to the 'knitting brigade' and gave me lots of friendly advice about how to get started and the different places you can tap those needles together. She also called for a new generation to pick up a pair of needles and give it a try.
My scant knowledge of knitting was passed down to me from my nana, who would knit all day long. I can remember a Christmas when every one of her 50 or so grandchildren had a hand knitted scarf wrapped under the tree. Brilliant. I hope my nearest and dearest are prepared for next Christmas...
I excitedly phoned Chris to tell him about my letter.
"Oh God," was his reply. I could picture him rolling his eyes.
Well, he'll be the sorry one when I'm a knitting extraordinaire, travelling the world with my wares. Just as long as I don't turn out like this woman...

If Russell Crowe thinks he can knit holding his needles that way he's sadly mistaken.
Crowe does NOT knit. He picked the needles up as a whimsical prop in a photo shoot - that's all.
I did think it was too good to be true...funny picture though. I like his moody pout the best.
