From Heroes to Zeros

By Stephen Farrell on Feb 10, 10 09:06 AM

After witnessing one of the most convincing displays since the Sir Bobby era, it almost seemed inevitable that we would manage to undo all of that hard work against the might of Derby.

So we've seen that 10 point lead evaporate, and now the Baggies sit proud at the top of the table. Granted, it's only on goal difference and we do have a game in hand but it is very concerning that we've let a lead like that slip. Where we've been drawing, West Brom have been winning. Those draws against the likes of Bristol City, QPR (granted they were in great form at the time), Leicester and Derby at home have all been pivotal in us no longer sitting at the top of the table. Of course, the defeats against Scunny, Forest, Blackpool and now Derby are a factor also.

On the plus side, we are 4 points clear of Forest in third place and we were always likely to slip up on the odd occasion. The thing is now, we have to hope that West Brom do the same at some point soon. We also have to hope that we pick ourselves up for the Swansea game on Saturday. Another game we simply must win, just to keep ourselves up there. There's no time to feel sorry for ourselves. We simply have to let the quality we have in the side show and take no prisoners.

Sort it out lads.
