Newcastle earn "lucky" point

By Stephen Farrell on Feb 14, 10 02:49 PM

That's what we've been told in all match reports. I'm not convinced it was lucky mind.

For all of Swansea's possession they didn't really do a great deal with it. They passed us off the park but I don't really recall Harper having many saves to make. That said, we were pretty woeful mind. We couldn't get the ball off them. Had they been more clinical and had a striker who wasn't Shefti Kuqi they may well have been out of sight long before we equalised. One has to wonder what would have happened had we been playing a half decent side from the Premiership.

Saturday's result was certainly a "point gained" in the grand sceme of things as it took us back into the driving seat at the top of the Fizzy Pop League. This will count for nothing if we don't take a maximum return this week against Coventry and Preston. We really need to get this title challenge back on track and take advantage of Forest's mini blip as I can't see it lasting very long.
