Superficial beauty?

So Naomi Campbell has been testifying in court about the alleged blood diamond gift from Liberia's ex-warlord, Charles Taylor. Campbell's old agency boss, Carole White, went on the record to say that Miss Campbell was 'mildly flirting' with mass murderer Taylor at a Nelson Mandela charity fundraising dinner.
Now fourty years old, Naomi Campbell's looks may have survived better than her reputation. The outcome of this newest saga is for the Sierra Leone court to decide. While scanning the details I came across plenty of other Campbell controversies, amongst them her beauty and diet secrets.
Apparently she favours the maple syrup diet; syrup mixed with just cayenne pepper, lemon juice and water, to detoxify her system. The longest she says she has done it for is eighteen days.
Campbell turned 40 in May. Here's a little about what the other '80's Supers are doing to preserve their stunning faces and bodies, too:
Cindy Crawford: Eats little and often: five times a day, to be exact. Loads of yoga. Has also admitted to vitamin injections, botox, and collagen treatments.
Elle Macpherson, though she loves the sun and beach, likes La Prairie Cellular Sun Cream, SPF 30.
Also recently quipped to The Times that she takes powdered rhino horn as a dietary supplement- although this may have been a bit of Aussie banter taken too seriously!
Fish oil, meditation, organic food, and a LOT of exercise take care of That Body.
Claudia Schiffer says never to leave home without wearing sunglasses to protect the eyes.
Also claims: 'What I eat affects my skin. Anything that's heavy, like dairy or sweets, breaks out my complexion, and it doesn't look as fresh. When I stopped eating dairy, my skin looked nicer.'
Shalom Harlow isn't one of the best-known Supers, but I think she was, and still is, the most beautiful. She says she swears by putting yogurt and egg whites on her face, because they are so soothing.

Helena Christensen uses 12.50 pounds a pot Hempz Body Butter to maintain her gorgeous skin. She also says she swears by Vaseline as a multi-tasking beauty product, but then the cheap and cheerful always sounds far cooler than diva-esque pots of expensive CrÃÅ¡me De La Mer!
Lat but not least, Kate Moss, who spent 30,000 pounds at The Huvaven Fushi luxury spa resort in the Maldives in 2009- heaven.

Miss Moss is reported to dunk her head in a bucket of ice and cucumber to tighten pores and brighten her complexion. I'm not so sure about this one. Kate has said happiness is her beauty secret, and she has never shied from the free champagne, so maybe it would be best to take a leaf out of her book. Get out, drink and be merry, keep well away from brutal African warlords, and relax a little on the beauty regime.
