Civil servants put it on the Government's card
The latest claims for MPs expenses may have been released today. But have a look at what civil servants have spent on Government procurement cards - it is certainly eye-opening.
I've focussed just on bars and restaurants for 2010-11, and one of my favourites is £23.60 at a Nando's in London on May 17 2010.
But there are some other bigger bills. They include £533.29 at the Commonwealth Club on 13 April last year. On 25 May, a card was used at the Brick House in east London for £1301.50.
There was another bill for £9.78 at Eat in Hounslow on 21 June 2010. A card was also used in McDonalds for the sum of £17.95 in Reading Gate on 6 June last year.
