Growth area
All is thriving down on the allotment at the mo - and the recent rain has been a welcome sight.
The potatoes and onions - lots of them! - are holding their own and help to keep the allotment looking a tad tidier.
The strawberries, nestling on straw, under their mesh cover, are also taking well.
Yellow courgettes (Taxi variety) have now been planted out, under cover, as well as calabrese plants, protected by clear plastic covers from those pesky birds.
The apple tree is bearing fruit and the morello cherry tree looks in great shape.
More raised beds are planned - the wood's been acquired and painted a very fetching shade of blue.
Just had another look around fellow plotters' Peter and Anne's magnificent Garden of Eden. It's a sight to behold - green and fruitful, every square inch a growth area. But to be fair they put in the hours, and then some!
