Ama Dablam Despatch: #12 Resting

We've been back down in base camp for two days now which has allowed for some interesting passtimes like secretly eating a whole block of Toblerone in my tent so none of the other expedition members knew, and also doing my washing!

We've basically spent the two days waiting, waiting for our bodies to acclimatise further to the lack of oxygen, then we'll make our summit bid. The whole "resting" or really "waiting" business is un-nerving, I just want to get on with the climb. By sitting and resting you have time to ponder, too much time, just like a fottballer before a big game.

I have spent the majority of the last 2 days in the dining tent (photo) below, we've played cards, read books, eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner, that has passed the time nicely, but I'm ready to go...
