DaisyGreenMagazine.co.uk, the leading women's ethically focussed e-zine, and GlobalCool.org, an online green lifestyle magazine, are thrilled to announce they will be partnering and collaborating on editorial and commercial projects.
As well as content collaboration, Daisy Green and Global Cool will work together on sponsorship, advertising and competition packages, providing a platform that will enable businesses to reach an audience of trendsetting fashionistas who are highly engaged with the content and ethos of these two growing online lifestyle destinations.
For over three years the Daisy Green Magazine team have been described as a cross between Sex and The City and The Good Life! Their aim is a simple one: to act as role models for women who wish to live a more ethical and sustainable life, but without preaching.
Global Cool's ethos is exactly the same. They make sustainable living fun, sexy and aspirational by entertaining their audience with a lively mix of fashion news, lifestyle tips and celebrity gossip - all a far cry from the worthy guilt-tripping of most green campaigns.
With a shared belief that even the smallest changes add up to help protect the planet, these two green trendsetters are now aiming to take their Cool Green message farther and wider than ever before.
Nicola Alexander, founder of Daisy Green, said:
"It makes so much sense to collaborate with another brilliant, likeminded business. Our message is really simple: 'It's Cool to be Green' and so easy to make a difference. And for all those brands wishing to spread their green love, there is no better place to start than via Daisy Green and Global Cool."
Chris Deary, Editorial Director of Global Cool, added:
"We've long been admirers of Daisy Green. With their focus on fashion and beauty conscious females and our audience of celebrity culture vultures there's a tremendous amount of crossover between the two sites. By collaborating we believe we can engage even more people with green living, whilst also creating a powerful platform for brands to communicate via."
About Daisy Green
Daisy Green Magazine was founded over 3 years ago by Nicola Alexander as a means to bring ethical living to a wider mainstream audience showcasing brands that are produced with thought and integrity for both those who make them and the local environments in which they are made.
A bit more about Global Cool!
Global Cool is run by the Global Cool Foundation, a not-for-profit that specialises in communicating sustainability to the mainstream. Since 2007 they have worked with celebrities, the entertainment industry and a number of major brands to promote green living to trendsetters, who hold the key to mass behaviour change and yet have been largely unreached by most green campaigns.
Two years ago the Global Cool website was transformed into an online lifestyle magazine designed to make green living fun, easy and desirable.

Well that was pretty frustrating wasn't it? When you're 2-0 up against a club in all kinds of disarray, you'd be forgiven for thinking "How many more?" as opposed to having to analyse us throwing away two points and completely capitulating. That said, I don't really want to talk about the match. Not because it was a poor performance all around or the fact that we were perhaps fortunate to come away with a point - but it's the fact that we've got a section of fans that enjoy a good boo.
UP to now I think it's fair to say I've been a little bit blase about my marathon training.
It's true that I have ventured out every weekend, come rain or shine, hail or wind, ice or snow - and all the other combinations Mother Nature has seemingly thrown at me.
However, despite my well-meant intentions, and I guess I'm not the only one training for something who occasionally feels the same, it's got to the critical stage where I have told myself "I really must try harder".
Update: Another Liberal Democrat MP has joined calls for the Government to release the "risk register" for the NHS.
Redcar MP Ian Swales said: "I feel that this is such a big change that any information that exists and any assessments that have been made should be made available to those who are both expected to approve the change and also those expected to implement the change."
Speaking about the wider NHS overhaul, said he remained supportive of the Health and Social Care Bill in terms of giving GPs powers to commission services.
But the Lib Dem MP said: "The Government has so far failed to spell out the difficult job of implementation of change management.
"This failure means that opponents of the Bill are able to write scaremongering stories because there is too little hard information on what the changes really mean."
I HAVE a confession to make and it might seem like an unusual thing for a woman to admit to.
It's something I've known for a long time and something I've come to accept, even if it makes me a bit odd when compared to my female friends and relatives.
But it's time I got it off my chest and put it out there, so here goes...
Michael Bates is not your average Conservative peer. In fact he is extraordinary. He has completed a 3,000 mile walk in the name of peace from Greece back to the UK Parliament.
Over 10 months, he has taken around six million steps to promote the Olympic Truce. The idea is that the Olympic Games should be a time for warring nations to still their guns.
And Lord Bates took to the road, starting off at Olympic in Greece, and returning to London - where this year's summer games are being held.
I had the pleasure of meeting him this morning and walking a little with him. Here is my video interview with him. He surely deserves a medal.
Could this put fresh fire in Alex Salmond's belly in his fight over the Scottish independence referendum?
A fresh line of attack against David Cameron opened up yesterday during a technical debate on Government plans to require councils to hold referenda if they set "excessive" council tax rises.
A cross-party coalition of peers questioned why the Government was ignoring the advice of the Electoral Commission about the referenda - and compared that with the Scottish situation. Phrases such as playing with fire and blood on their hands were mentioned in the debate.
Chris Rennard, a former chief executive of the Liberal Democrats, said: "Who sets a referendum question is currently a matter of major contention in relation to Scotland and the referendum on independence or an alternative form of further devolution.
"The Westminster Government have adopted the position that it is only proper legally for the Electoral Commission to be involved in framing that question, with the implication that the commission's view may prevail over that of the Scottish First Minister, who may want what many people consider to be a less clear, less fair and potentially loaded question.
"However, in relation to questions on this issue, the Government have not yet agreed that the view of the Electoral Commission on the question to be put should prevail. Indeed, they may defy the views of the Electoral Commission on this matter."
It is with some reluctance that I have to sit and write this after the tonking we took from what can only be described as a simply superb Spurs side. I'd go as far to say as they look to be a better team than both the Manc sides. A combination of pace, power and strength across the whole pitch left us licking our wounds, and the contest was effectively over after 4 minutes.
Former Labour chief whip Nick Brown has called for a review into the laws supposed to tackle public servants selling private information about individuals.
The Labour MP claimed the interception of people's records was "hardly ever punished" and, when it was, the authorities treated offenders leniently.
His comments come after he last year confirmed police had warned him "unauthorised disclosures" may have been made from the police and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) systems.
The drive to force Health Secretary Andrew Lansley to release the NHS risk register will also be ringing alarm bells in Downing Street.
A dozen MPs have signed the early day motion tabled by Labour MP Grahame Morris demanding ministers publish the document - which he claims could reveal a "cost surge" related to controversial NHS reforms and finish them off.
