David Miliband's earnings top £500,000

By William Green on Jul 31, 12 12:44 PM

HE may have lost out on the Labour crown to his brother Ed, but David Miliband has bounced back. The former foreign secretary is a man much in demand.

He regularly criss-crosses the world offering his insights, experience and skills.
And that demand is reflected by his earning power.

He has collected £441,821.60 in outside earnings on top of his £65,738 annual salary as MP for South Shields, according to the latest register of members' financial interests.

He commands up to £25,500 per speech, while he receives £75,000 a year as vice-chairman of Sunderland football club - a job he has held since February last year.

The South Shields MP is also an advisor to several firms, earning £92,839.75 for one role between August last year and May 2012 for four-and-a-half days work.

It is also important to stress that some of his fees are given to charity and that Mr Miliband pays 50% tax on all his earnings.

Superb blog and brilliant design.

Hello just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The words in your content seem to be running off the
screen in Internet explorer. I'm not sure if this is a format issue or something to do with internet browser compatibility but I figured I'd post to let
you know. The design and style look great though!

Hope you get the problem resolved soon. Cheers

I definitely agree with making lists for blog ideas.
