Reading about the delay in the proposed White-tailed Sea Eagle Re-introduction project in Norfolk as a result of lobbying from the Country Land & Business Association had me thinking, One North East are missing a trick here.
This latest spell of cold weather could bring some significant movements of birds in Northumberland & Durham. At this time of year food supply is at its scarcest, with heavy snow on the Northumberland & Durham Moors as is likely over Monday & Tuesday many birds could be heading to the East Coast for easier times.
I have a confession; I don't spend much time birding these days. My birding kind of happens on autopilot. Let me explain a little about my birding so you can see how I got here.
