Britney had the M Factor...

By Sam Wonfor on Nov 30, 08 09:41 PM

I read a story in one of the papers today which offered the notion that someone had suggested, that maybe, at some points during Saturday night's X Factor performance, Britney Spears may have dallied with the action of miming to a backing track.

Whoever was asking the question clearly missed the show.

I would put my house, car, job, husband, child and life on the fact that Spears mimed badly throughout her whole sorry performance.

But of course she got a standing ovation from the sycophantic four - Masters Cowell and Walsh and Missus' Cole and Minogue.

Maybe I'm out of touch - no I'm not.

Britney was absolutely dreadful on Saturday night.

Performing her new track Womanizer which isn't great to start with, this was to be some sort of scoop for the X Factor... Britney's only UK performance for ages... and after the whole breakdown/head shaving malarkey, this was going to be a sight to behold.

Dear dear. Considering we'd spent an hour or so watching pretty polished performances from what amount to five amateur acts singing two songs each, live and with a big slice of production alongside (dancers/dancing and the like), you'd have thought Britters would have shone out like the superstar she apparently is.

She has got to be feeling lucky today that she wasn't subject to the public vote - and Ruth Lorenzo (who eventually said whatever the Spanish is for goodbye) has got to be gutted.
If any of the now semi-finalists had put in Britney's performance, they would have been absolutely slated by the judges - the same judges who might as well have laid down on the stage and let Britney trip all over them.

She couldn't even be bothered to meet the contestants (unlike Mariah Carey and Take That who had a masterclass session with each of them) and apparently didn't even watch the show... instead just coming out with a wad of generic cheerleading phrases ('awesome'; 'amazing' and the like) which related to pretty much nothing.

She's clearly not ready for appearances in public... absolute tripe... but Alexandra was good again, Diana got right on my nerves as per usual, Eoghan was as rubbish as he always is, JLS failed to make an impression with either performance and Ruth sang too loudly...

And in the words of Mr Gump, that's all I have to say about that, before I write words not meant for a family blog.
